What up doc?

In the last posting i did mention about communication skills.guess what?i remember one incident of communication skill incompetence plus bad attitude which involved me as the patient relative.yesterday i went to accident and emergency department..my younger brother had an exacerbation of asthma which was not relieved by his MDI.so i took him there for nebulizer...the MA there done a good job.giving nebulizer, taking Bp, measure SPO2, measure the peak flow and even taking my bro temperature(my bro had a fever yesterday). some of the MA skip some of this..of course could not blame them 100% espicially when hundreds of patient are queing.that's not the problem..back to the main topic...the incident occured in the doc room after nebulizer.there were 2 doc.one doc was in charge in that room and the other one was pobably just tagging along.so..the doc in charge here take a brief history, did some quick examination and wrote down the findings plus the drugs prescription.and thats it!!no explaination no advice nothing.i pretended that i was a normal civilian and know nothing about medicine and try to ask about my bro's condition.what i got was some medical tech words which the lay person wont understand plus some chat and giggles by both of the doc.what the hell!!now i know how patient's and patient relative's feeling after meeting a doc..a doc who just work by the hour and do not take work seriously...who does not work for the sake of patient.there is no harm in explaining a bit plus an advice.it wont take long, just one or two minutes are enough.patient will appreciate it.... i'm just a student.who am i to scold them.wait till i become a specialist.i'll change things with my own hands..haha
